Counterfeit money lands local man in jail

A counterfeit $5 bill lands a Rome man behind bars.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 19-year old Blake Justin Hugh Bragg of an East 20th Street address tried to pass the bogus at Rick’s Little garden on Dean Avenue Friday.

Once at the jail, Bragg was found with methamphetamine in his left shoe.

He is charged with 1st-degree forgery, possession of meth, and possession of drugs across the guard line at the jail.
