Floyd releases app for moms and moms-to-be

NEWS RELEASE

My Floyd Baby is a new mobile app that helps moms-to-be and moms keep track of pregnancy milestones, baby, toddler and child development, and health care checks for the entire family.

My Floyd Baby features a pregnancy tracker that includes how much the baby grows from week to week, the changes mom can expect with her body and a fetal movement tracker to follow how often the baby kicks.

The app also gives reminders to register for a childbirth class, schedule a hospital tour at Floyd Medical Center and to make a prenatal visit with Floyd
Pediatrics.

Once baby arrives, My Floyd Baby provides moms with easy-to-use trackers for noting how often a baby eats or how much, the frequency and type of diaper changes, how much the baby weighs and information on developmental milestones.

Moms can also add other family members to the My Floyd Baby app to help them keep track of the health needs of the entire family – from scheduling annual checkups to getting
recommended vaccines.

In addition, My Floyd Baby provides a daily newsfeed that offers health information personalized by the age and gender of family members.

Users can also invite family members to share the app.

“This is a great tool for expecting mothers and those who recently gave birth,” said Kellie Pearson, Director of Women and Children’s Services at Floyd. “For women giving birth for the
first time, it will take some of the mystery out of the process and will help them keep track of important things they need to take care of as the due date approaches.”

To download now, text “Floyd” to 706.222.7858.

The app can also be found by searching for My Floyd Baby in the Apple App Store and in the Google Play Store for Android users.
