A 36-year old Rome man is facing multiple charges including child molestation, 1st-degree cruelty to children and aggravated assault following an incident early Monday at his Morrison Campground Road home.
According to Floyd County Jail records, Jarrod Cole Duncan destroyed the kitchen area of the residence and then kicked in the door of the victim’s room.
He then grabbed the victim, who is a minor, threatened her and attempted to rape her.
Duncan also allegedly slapped a glass of water out of the hand of a 60-year old woman in the home, damaged the woman’s microwave, and threw all of the contents of her refrigerator onto the floor.
He then resisted arrest when officers arrived on the scene, according to the report.
Duncan is also charged with terroristic threats and acts; enticing a child for indecent purposes; simple assault; simple battery; exploitation and intimidation of disabled adults, elder persons, and residents; criminal trespass; disorderly conduct; and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
