FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

Two men were booked into the Floyd County Jail late Tuesday on drug charges.

According to jail records, 23-year old Mattox Joe Bradford of Elberton, Georgia was pulled over by police on Maple Road at Mahan Street because his vehicle had only one working headlight.

Once stopped, a passenger fled the scene on foot.

Bradford reportedly told the officer that he did not know who the passenger was.

That passenger, later identified as 28-year-old Steven Harold Clifton of Calhoun, was located and then refused to comply with commands, so the officer assisted him to the ground.

A glass smoking device, digital scales, a marijuana grinder, and suspected methamphetamine were located.

Clifton also told police that he had swallowed some meth.

Once at the jail, more methamphetamine and suspected marijuana were found.
