Two people died in a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Highway 411.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, 2005 black Jeep Cherokee, was traveling east on in the right lane, approaching Alford Road.
The driver of the vehicle entered the left lane and suddenly overcorrected his steering, causing the Jeep to travel off of the south shoulder of the roadway.
The vehicle began rotating in a clockwise manner and overturned several times before striking a tree with the top and driver’s side.
The Jeep came to an uncontrolled final rest against the tree.
The driver, Ronald Jackson age 56 of Cartersville, and the passenger, 22-year old female from Chattanooga, were pronounced dead at the scene.
