There was a significant power outage affected 1,695 Georgia Power customers in the old East Rome, Rosemont Park, Rockmart Highway, and Chateau Drive areas Sunday afternoon and evening.

The problem was a tree that fell on power lines in the Dean Avenue area.

The power was back on by Sunday evening.
