Coca-Cola and Rome Floyd Parks and Recreation have put together a full day of fun, food, inflatables, music, and fireworks to help celebrate July 4th a day early at the 2019 Patriotic Party at Ridge Ferry Park on Wednesday, July 3.

The festivities begin at noon on July 3 and feature the Armuchee Ruritan Car Show as well as the always-popular inflatable splash zone for kids. Several food truck vendors will be on hand and ready to serve food starting at noon.

Family fun game registration starts at 4. The games begin at 5:30 with participants showing off their skills in the Hula Hoop contest and the Cornhole in one contest.

Sales of glow necklaces to help benefit special needs populations start at 6 and the inflatable area closes at 6:30, giving everyone time to settle in before Dalton Dover takes the big stage at 7.

Dover competed on the popular TV Show “The Voice” serving as a contestant on country music superstar Blake Shelton’s team. His audition song “Don’t Close Your Eyes” has been viewed more than 1.5 million times on YouTube.

At 8:20 p.m., YouTube sensation TJ Cochran hits the stage bringing his soulful voice to the celebration. Cochran’s song “Rome, GA” has been a hit locally, and he has a wide range of talent sure to wow listeners.

As the sun sets on the park, patriotic music takes over. The presentation of colors will be at 9:30 followed by the national anthem at 9:45. A few minutes later, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the night.

When the fireworks end, both Dover and Cochran get back on stage until the event ends at 11.

“We couldn’t be more excited with all of the great entertainment, music, vendors, games and more that everyone can come out and enjoy on July 3rd,” Todd Wofford, Interim Parks, and Recreation Director, says. “Our goal is to be able to have a full day of fun and events for everyone. We would also like to thank Coca-Cola for helping to sponsor the event, and we hope to see a ton of people at Ridge Ferry Park.”
