FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

An Atlanta man has been arrested on felony warrants charging him with alleged crimes dating back to 2015.

According to the warrants on file at the Floyd County Jail, 35-year old Terry Lorenzo Wheeler aided others in a burglary at Chuck’s Corner on South Broad Street back on Christmas Eve of 2015.

The suspects entered the store by using a sledgehammer to bust a hole in a wall.

$80,000 in cash was taken.

Wheeler is also implicated in a similar incident at Shannon Grocery on Calhoun Road that occurred on September 30, 2016, and at GNC on Alabama Highway on Alabama Highway on October 8, 2016.

The warrants did not state if anything was stolen during those burglaries but did list damage to both buildings in excess of $500.

Wheeler is charged with three counts of smash and grab burglary (party to a crime), as well as three counts of 2nd-degree burglary (party to a crime).

Wheeler is also charged with violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

That warrant stated that Wheeler is a member of a criminal street gang based out of Oakland City, Atlanta.
