Man charged in multiple burglaries

A Taylorsville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail early Friday on a long list of charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant, 30-year old Kellen Seth Burk took an enclosed trailer from a residence on Lakeview Drive in Lindale on May 31.

He also allegedly entered the residence and took multiple items.

The report states Burk also took a large industrial air compressor (valued at $20,000) and a jackhammer (valued at $4,000) from a property on Ridgeview Drive.

Following the theft, the air compressor was parked and spray-painted.

Police say that Burk also entered a residence on Rockmart Road and stole a saddle, cash, and coins before entering an outbuilding on the property and taking a Polaris Magnum ATV.

Then on June 16, Burk took a Honda dirt bike and a four-wheeler from a residence on Harmony Road in Silver Creek.

In addition, Burk was caught by the victim stealing a pontoon boat.

Burk is also implicated in a burglary on Hays Place in which multiple items, including a ring, were stolen.

He is charged with a single count of 1st-degree burglary, three counts of 2nd-degree burglary, three counts of felony theft by taking, two counts of misdemeanor theft by taking, two counts of criminal trespass, and single counts of possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and a probation violation.
