A Lindale woman was arrested on Wednesday on charges of 1st-degree burglary, battery, 3rd-degree cruelty to children, and exploitation or intimidation of an elder person.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Jessica Elaine Edwards entered a residence on Maple Road and attacked a woman, causing lacerations to the victim’s face.
Edwards also yelled at a 72-year-old owner of the home, who had just undergone a medical procedure, and had to witness the attack.
The incident also occurred in the presence of a juvenile, who was sitting on the coach.
The incident forced the 72-year-old and the child to leave the residence to avoid being found by Edwards.
