Man charged with strong-arm robbery, aggravated assault
A Burnett Ferry Road man has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on Shorter Avenue on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
20-year-old Marco Gabriel Hernandez-Ladezma assaulted a man by beating him, despite witnesses who were trying to stop him.
Hernandez-Ledezma took the victim’s iPhone, valued at $1,200, and then smashed it into the ground.
Hernandez-Ledezma is charged with strong-arm robbery, aggravated assault, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, battery, and theft by taking.
Man accused of assaulting woman
A West Rome man is facing charges of aggravated assault and 3rd-degree cruelty to children following his arrest on Monday at his Wilkins Street residence.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Patricio Bartolome Diaz Mendez brandished a knife during an altercation.
He also dragged the victim by the hair and attempted to strangle her.
The incident was witnessed by four children.
