Staff reports-
Rome-Floyd County Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the Armuchee area on Thursday.
According to Division Chief Jamie Stone:
Firefighters were dispatched to 4382 Martha Berry Highway at 6:25 p.m. and found an abandoned barn fully involved.
They got control of the fire at 6:46 p.m., and it was extinguished at 6:56 p.m.
The barn was a total loss. and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Two engines, a ladder truck, rescue, 17 firefighters, and two chief officers responded to the scene.
