More charges have been filed against a man accused of robbing the former State Line Tavern near the Alabama State Line last Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
23-year-old Jeffrey Lemar Smith of Gadsden entered the establishment with an AR pistol with the intent to rob the business and patrons.
He pointed the firearm at one man during the incident.
Smith was found hiding in a dumpster in Centre, following a pursuit with Alabama authorities.
He is charged with robbery, plus additional counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Two other suspects remain at large.
