Rome Radio Partners, LLC owns and operates six radio stations in Northwest Georgia.
Our studios are based in Rome.
One of our stations, WRGA, is a News/Talk formatted station, with a Local News
emphasis online. WRGA is the 5th oldest station in Georgia.
We are looking to hire someone to work in our award winning News Department that
can contribute in the following areas:
- Multimedia Journalist (MMJ): Drives to/from stories for breaking news. Reports,
shoots video and pictures, and edits for both digital and broadcast platforms. - Digital Content Creator/Associate: Writes for web, develops online stories, and writes
for radio newscasts. - News Trainee/Assistant: Supports senior reporters and editors, handles basic tasks,
and learns production. - General Assignment Reporter: Covers a variety of stories for our stations.
Qualifications needed for job:
A successful candidate must have time management skills, be self sufficient, be able to
adapt to different situations and people, and communicate well with others at the
stations.
High School graduate, college degree in Broadcast Journalism, Mass Communication is
preferred.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record compliant with our Safety
Policy.
Pre-employment drug screen, driving record and background check required.
