Man charged with robbery by sudden snatching
A Cartersville man was arrested following an incident on Chateau Drive in Rome on Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Zachary Daniel Chastain took an iPhone 14 Pro Max from a woman’s hand.
The phone is valued at $1,000.
Chastain is charged with robbery by sudden snatching.
Man charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats
An Adairsville man is facing charges after allegedly threatening another man with a gun.
According to an arrest warrant:
44-year-old Kenya Robbins pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the victim while stating, “I’ll kill you.”
The incident occurred on Christmas Day at a location on Harper Avenue in South Rome.
Robbins is charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts.
Report: Man assaulted woman on Burr Drive
A Rome man is accused of assaulting a woman on Burr Drive on Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Justin Anthony Stanley shoved the victim onto a couch, placing his hands around her arms, causing bruising.
He then sat on top of the victim and put his hands around her throat, strangling her and leaving marks and scratches.
Stanley is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
Man charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
A traffic stop on Camp Street at Pine Street in North Rome ended with the arrest of a 30-year-old Rome man on a felony charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Monteco Markeze Johnson, who is a convicted felon, was found with a firearm in his vehicle.
He was also driving without valid insurance and with a suspended license.
He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, no insurance, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
