Two charged with aggravated assault
Two arrests have been made in connection with a shooting incident on Garden Avenue in Lindale back on November 19.
According to the arrest warrants:
23-year-old Jordan Lee Buttrum and 19-year-old Devonte Mekhi Daniels discharged a firearm at the victim with the intent to murder.
Both Buttrum and Daniels are charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.
Man charged with terroristic threats and acts
A Kingston man is accused of making a threat against United States Postal Service workers.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Michael Wayne Haynes is heard on a recorded phone line saying he was going to go to the post office and bust some heads.
Haynes also threatened to “put them in the ground,” and said, “You don’t steal from me or my family, I’ll un-alive you.”
He also stated that the next time a postal worker comes up, he was going to grab him out of his truck.
Haynes is charged with terroristic threats and acts.
Man accused of damaging vehicle, residence
A Celanese man was arrested Wednesday on charges of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, criminal trespass, and misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
30-year-old Pablo Martinez damaged the paint and windshield of the victim’s vehicle and dented the body.
He also threw a 65-inch television, damaging it, and ripped a piece of siding off of the residence on Beech Street.
Martinez then disobeyed commands from law enforcement officers.
