Woman charged with burglary
A South Rome woman was jailed on Monday on a 1st-degree burglary charge.
According to an arrest warrant:
44-year-old Helena Magnolia Hunter entered a residence on Frost Drive through the front door on October 24 of last year.
She took two bags containing approximately $550 in U.S. currency without permission.
The burglary was caught on video surveillance.
Report: Felon found with a firearm
A Cedartown man was arrested at North Broad and Evans Street on Monday on a felony count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
56-year-old Austin Eugene Locklear was found in possession of a gun, and a check of his criminal history revealed that he was a convicted felon.
Woman charged with meth possession
A 39-year-old woman is facing drug charges following her arrest on Broad Street on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Stephanie Renee Cruz was found with suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe containing residue
Cruz is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, and a probation violation.
