Man charged with aggravated assault
An 18-year-old South Rome man was arrested on Monday in connection with an alleged assault at the Callier Forest Apartments on Dodd Boulevard back on November 11.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
Garyun Maleek Cole was waving around an AK-variant rifle as he was threatening another man, and encouraging him to come outside.
On Tuesday, Cole was found with marijuana packaged for resale, digital scales, four THC vapes, and an AK-style rifle at his Wilson Avenue home.
Cole is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless conduct, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with meth possession
A Rome man was arrested Monday on Cartersville Highway and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Justin Tyrell Silmon was found with a substance in the glove compartment of his vehicle, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
Woman accused of violating conditional bond
A West Rome woman is facing charges of aggravated stalking and simple battery following her arrest on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Racheal Danielle Day struck the victim.
By doing so, she violated the terms of a conditional bond that prohibited her from having contact with the victim.
Day is also being held on a probation violation.
