An 18-year-old from West Rome is facing multiple charges after he reportedly drove his vehicle off the road and flipped it onto its side.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jose Oswaldo Sil-Garcia also struck a handrail and a concrete wall when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve on Roseway Circle at Pine Street.
He was found to be driving under the influence and without a valid license.
Open containers of alcohol were located in the vehicle, and Sil-Garcia fled on foot from the accident scene.
He is charged with duty upon striking a fixture, DUI, open container, obstruction of law enforcement, driving without a license, failure to maintain a lane, too fast for conditions, and being an intoxicated minor.
