The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will conduct public hearings regarding a rezoning request for the existing fire and emergency services training facility at 3940 Morton Bend Road when it meets on Tuesday.
The property is currently zoned Agricultural Residential, and the proposed zoning is Heavy Industrial.
Again, the emergency services training facility is already located on the site, and the request is to rezone to match the existing use.
The commission will also consider a Special Use Permit for a Luxury Glamping and Peaceful Wellness Retreat at 1865 Morton Bend Road, a zoning change from Duplex Residential to Suburban Residential, and a Special Use Permit for a manufactured home at 39 Lindsey Road, 3625 Martha Berry Highway, and 3669 Martha Berry Highway.
A public hearing for a special-use permit for a special events venue at 3360 Huffaker Road is also on the agenda.
The application includes the construction of a 40’x60’ pavilion that would accommodate up to 150 guests.
Another rezoning application seeks to rezone 1644 Wayside Road from Community Commercial to Agricultural Residential for the construction of a residence and to potentially acquire livestock.
Tuesday’s county commission meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the County Administration building located at 12 East 4th Avenue.
The caucus will start at 4 p.m.
