A Gordon County Grand Jury has indicted a man arrested in early 2024 on charges of unlawful possession of a destructive device, unlawful handling of explosive devices, aggravated assault, and reckless Conduct.
Warrants were issued for Dillon Wayne Long on January 11, 2024, after he allegedly assaulted a woman on Red Bud Road during a domestic altercation.
Six days later, an explosive device was located on Pleasant Hill Road.
The device, which was linked to Long, was rendered safe by the Floyd County bomb unit.
Long was apprehended during a traffic stop the next day.
