A Calhoun woman is accused of creating or altering records while employed with the Georgia Department of Driver’s Services office on Martha Berry Highway in Rome.
According to the arrest warrants:
35-year-old Winiferd Dijanni Palma created a pauper’s affidavit in the DRIVES database in the names of other people, when in fact they had not completed the application.
Palma caused the creation of a tangible document for the purpose of committing forgery and depriving the state of hundreds of dollars.
She is accused of being in breach of a fiduciary and stealing hundreds of dollars from the state between August 1 and August 22.
She is charged with five counts of computer forgery and five counts of theft by taking.
