A Floyd County student recently had her poem, “I Am,” selected to be published in the newest edition of the book Empowered.
Adalyn Brock will now be able to win additional prizes for her submission and she will keep all rights to her poem.
When the poem was submitted, she was in 4th grade in Mrs. Mary Simmons’ class at Model Elementary.
I am so proud of Adalyn,” Simmons said. “She is a bright, creative, and thoughtful student. I know she is going to continue to do amazing things.”
Adalyn is now a 5th grader at MMS.
