The Rome Police Department is investigating an armed robbery Sunday at the Latino Food Mart in West Rome.
According to a Rome Police Department report:
A skinny man, about 5’ 3” went into the store at 702 Shorter Avenue, wearing a mask and gloves.
The suspect got a drink from the cooler and then walked around the counter holding a gun.
The man got money out of the register and left the store.
It is estimated around $4,500 was taken and the suspect was last seen walking toward Red Lobster.
