Man arrested for criminal damage to property, public drunk
A 26-year-old Rome man is accused of causing around $700 in damage to a unit at an apartment complex on Chateau Drive on Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Balkrishna Karki was intoxicated, yelling, and using profane language while in the commons area of the complex.
He also objects at the building, causing holes in the wall and damage to the interior exterior of the unit, which he did not live in.
Karki is charged with felony 1st-degree criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor count of public drunk.
Man accused of making threat
A Kingston man was arrested at his Bunratty Way on Thursday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
47-year-old Virgel Jim Massingill pulled a knife out of his pocket and opened it.
He then threatened his stepson.
Man charged with theft by receiving a stolen motor vehicle
A stolen vehicle landed a 33-year-old Rome man behind bars recently.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Christopher Lloyd Rhoten had possession of the $2,500 vehicle when he was stopped by police on Cave Spring Road.
He is charged with theft by receiving stolen property and driving without a license.
