Warrant: Man threatened to kill woman
A 39-year-old Rome man was jailed Saturday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
According to an arrest warrant:
Patrick Cortez Turner threatened to kill a woman.
The threats were made in person and via text message in September of last year.
Turner also hit the victim in the face.
He is also charged with battery, stalking, and a probation violation.
Teen charged with terroristic threats
A 19-year-old was arrested after making a threat at his Walton Creek Drive home on Friday.
According to an arrest warrant:
Tyson David Warren threatened to kill a man and then proceeded to go into his bedroom and retrieve a hunting bow.
Warren is charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
Inmate facing additional charge
A man arrested last week on charges of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation is facing an additional charge of unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Ronald TJ Adams Jr. got into a physical altercation with another inmate on February 2.
Adams was arrested on January 31 after he showed up to meet someone he believed to be under the age of 16 for sex acts.
He was also charged with furnishing obscene material to a minor, electronic enticement of a child, sexual exploitation of children, and obscene internet contact with a child.
Woman arrested on drug charges
A Hennon Drive woman was arrested early Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, and loitering or prowling.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
58-year-old Tammy Charlene Gilham was found digging in a dumpster on Redmond Circle at around 3:30 a.m.
Suspected methamphetamine and a burned glass pipe containing residue were found in her purse.
Man arrested on burglary warrant
A 26-year-old homeless man is facing a 1st-degree burglary charge following his arrest over the weekend.
According to an arrest warrant:
Ronnie Jackson Vanmeter entered a residence on Walters Street in Rome and stole a set of house keys and a set of car keys.
A juvenile was in the home at the time of the burglary, resulting in an additional charge of 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Vanmeter is also charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.
According to that arrest warrant:
Two pills, suspected to be Xanax, were found inside a vehicle, along with Vanmeter’s phone during the execution of a search warrant on January 26.
