A Calhoun Road man is facing felony charges after he reportedly kicked a police officer in the face.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
43-year-old Joseph Lester Houser had already been resisting arrest and attacking medical personnel at Atrium Health Floyd.
He tried to use an EMT’s shirt collar to strangle him.
Houser is charged with felony counts of obstruction of law enforcement officers, and aggravated assault.
