A parade of people walked down Broad Street with some in high heels. All walked in support of victims of domestic violence.
The “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event, hosted by Hospitality House in Rome, began at the Sarah Hightower Library Garden where supporters discussed resources victims have access to and celebrated victims and survivors of domestic violence.
Multiple people spoke at the event. Including Executive Director Krystal Raines, Miss Rome Jordan Kulah, and Aubrey Ivy, a domestic violence advocate and survivor.
After some speeches, the event-goers took to broad street to walk in solidarity.
