The iron bridge over Armuchee Creek will be closed for a week starting Monday.
Floyd County Public Works has announced that they will be replacing the wooden deck for the single-lane bridge beginning at 8 a.m.
Work is expected to be complete on Thursday at 4 p.m.
No traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge at any point during the repair.
This location is between U.S. 27 (Martha Berry Highway) and Scenic Road past the post office in Armuchee.
Please identify detours.
