The Floyd County Commission has approved a bid for the demolition and installation of sidewalks and handicap ramps in Lindale.
Glenn Contractors LLC got the contract.
“It’s in the amount of $138,000, using 2017 SPLOST funds,” said Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord. “This will leave an additional $107,000 that may be used for additional sidewalk projects in the future. No budget change is needed, and this was the low bid.”
Commissioners also awarded a bid to Infrahub for pavement and sign asset management services for Public Works in the amount of $31,120.
The work will be paid for through the existing budget.
The commission also approved a rezoning request for 7050 Cave Spring Road in Cave Spring from Suburban Residential to Agricultural Residential for an existing residence and farm.
