A GoFundMe page has been established for the family of a Rome teenager who died while playing soccer on Friday.
16-year-old Bairon Candido Ramos Vicente passed out on the field and unfortunately never woke back up.
Bairon passed away doing what he loved and being with his friends. He never really was the type to talk much, but he always managed to put a smile on everyone’s face, and he will be forever missed.
This fundraiser will help Bairon’s family cover the funeral and hospital expenses.
Bairon was an 11th-grade student at Rome High School, but the incident did not occur on school grounds.
The school system released a statement that read:
“Rome City Schools is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a Rome High School student,” they said in a statement. “Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences are with the student’s family, friends, and loved ones.”
