Report: Woman chased a man with a knife and threatened to kill him
A North Rome woman is accused of assaulting and threatening another person at her Ross Street residence.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
56-year-old Nora Ventura chased a man while holding a kitchen knife, which was raised above her head.
She then threw the knife at the victim.
Ventura was captured on video stating that she would kill the victim and that she would go to jail with a smile on her face.
Ventura is charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts.
Woman charged with aggravated assault
A Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault.
According to jail records:
46-year-old Gregory Joe Carter put a man in a chokehold during a domestic altercation at a residence on Reeceberg Road.
Carter threw and broke several household items, including tables, chairs, and kitchenware.
He also punched holes in the walls, broke a door, and picked up a coffee table and threw it at the victim, striking him in the head.
Carter is additionally charged with 2nd-degree criminal damage to property and battery.
Report: Man knocked out woman’s tooth
A West Rome man is facing an aggravated battery charge.
According to an arrest warrant:
34-year-old Jaron Percy Williams punched a woman in the mouth, knocking out a tooth.
The incident occurred on September 1 at a residence on Stonecreek Drive in Garden Lakes.
Williams is also charged with a misdemeanor count of battery.
