Man charged with child cruelty
A Rome man was arrested on Tuesday at his North Broad Street residence on a felony warrant charging him with 1st-degree cruelty to children.
According to the warrant:
42-year-old Michael Joseph Moore allowed a 10-year-old child to live in deplorable conditions.
The child’s room was covered in trash, toys, old food, and what appeared to be dirty clothing.
There was broken furniture, torn mattresses, holes in the walls, and animal waste throughout the residence.
Last week, 48-year-old Amanda Ellino Moore was charged in the same case.
Woman facing drug charges
A North Rome woman is facing drug charges following his arrest on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
46-year-old Ebony Madera Orr was found with more than an ounce of marijuana in separate baggies, along with packaging materials, a digital scale, and a Glock firearm.
A marijuana grinder was located in the home, along with an unlabeled bottle of Amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic.
Moore is charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs not in the original container, and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with meth possession
A Trion man was arrested on Tuesday in Rome on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
61-year-old Anthony Guy Brown Sr. tried to dispose of a bag of suspected methamphetamine at a location on Woodbine Avenue.
A search of the vehicle also turned up an apparent meth pipe.
Man accused of stealing two e-bikes
A homeless man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with bicycle theft.
According to the warrant:
36-year-old Joshua Lewayne Culpepper admitted on body camera that he took two e-bikes, valued at a combined $3,000.
The incident occurred on July 25 at a location on Rosalyn Court.
