Traffic crashes in the City of Rome were down slightly through June, according to recently released numbers from the Rome Police Department.
Through June of 2025, there were 363 wrecks compared to 360 through the first six months of this year.
That’s a 1 percent decrease.
There has been one traffic fatality reported so far this year, which is the same as was reported through June of last year.
Injuries from wrecks are up by 9 percent, and DUI-related crashes decreased by 36 percent.
Rome Police have patrolled 281,966 miles, compared to 275,949 this time a year ago.
