Woman Charged for Providing Firearm to Convicted Felon
A firearm was exchanged on Anderson Street leading to the arrest of two people.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
31 year old Kayla Marie Killeen and 53 year old Corey Cornelius Hightower were arrested on the 29th on Anderson Street for an exchange of firearms. Killeen was charged with criminal trespass and knowingly providing a firearm to a felon and Hightower was charged with criminal trespass and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both Killeen and Hightower were initially told to leave the premises before the arrest.
Woman Charged with Multiple Charges Relating to Possession after Swallowing Suspected Narcotics in Front of Officer
A woman was arrested in North Rome on Tuesday for multiple charges relating to possession of a controlled substance.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
A traffic stop was conducted on 31 year old Amber Rose Douglas after she used a center turn lane to merge with traffic. The traffic stop led to her arrest after an active arrest warrant was found. Three loose Oxicodone and a plastic straw with white residue was found on her person on the way to the jail. Douglas was caught on video retrieving and swallowing suspected narcotics in the back of the transport vehicle.
Douglas has been charged with using a center lane for turning, tampering with evidence, possession and use of drug related objects, drugs not in original container, fugitive from justice, possession of the schedule II controlled substance, and two counts of probation violation.
Man Charged with Public Indecency after Entering Someone’s Vehicle with only a Shirt on.
A man was arrested on Tuesday after entering someone’s vehicle wearing only a T-shirt.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
36 year old Bryce Nathaniel Gibson was walking around Downtown Rome on East 1st Street wearing only a shirt when he entered a vehicle that did not belong to him. He then rummaged through the center console, leading police to believe he was entering the vehicle with the intention of committing theft or a felony.
Man Charged After Tricking Elderly Individual into Believing he Was a Licensed Electrician.
A man was arrested on Glendale Drive on Tuesday after pretending to be a licensed electrician.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
21 year old Myelin Christopher Mcguire charged the victim $2500 to perform electrical service on a home when Mcguire never acquired either a license nor a permit for the work. In addition, the maintenance he performed damaged the victims HVAC system to the point where it no longer worked and was no longer up to code. The work Mcguire did even presented a safety hazard to the victim as the result of the work could potentially shock the victim and could potentially cause a fire since Mcguire overloaded the home’s circuits.
Mcguire was charged with reckless conduct, theft by deception, and exploitation and intimidation of disabled adults, elder persons, and residents.
