There are a number of events this weekend to celebrate the 250th year of independence.
Lindale’s annual Independence Day celebration is on Saturday with a festival and car show at Lindale Park, along with a parade.
The festival is from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. with vendors of all kinds.
The car show will feature cars, trucks, and tractors.
If you would like to enter a vehicle, the cost is $20, which goes to benefit Christmas for kids and restoration projects in Lindale.
The parade lineup starts at 9:30 at Pepperell Primary School.
It is free to enter.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. and will make its way up Park Avenue to the First Baptist Church.
Meanwhile, Cave Spring will celebrate Liberty Day with a farmer’s market and fireworks on Saturday.
The farmer’s market is from 8 a.m. to noon downtown by the cabin.
The cave will open at 10:30, and the pool opens at noon.
Fireworks, sponsored by Historic Downtown Cave Spring and AdventHealth, will begin around dark at Rolater Park.
