Derek Dooley, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, was in Rome on Monday as part of his Georgia First Tour.
Governor Brian Kemp, who has endorsed Dooley, was also at the event.
Dooley is the son of former University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley, and he is in a runoff with fellow Republican Mike Collins for US Senate.
The winner of the runoff will face incumbent Democrat Jon Ossoff in November.
