Warrant: Man let the battery in the electronic monitoring device go dead
A Floyd County man was jailed on Tuesday and charged with interference with an electronic monitoring device and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the arrest warrant and Floyd County jail records:
26-year-old Blake Justin Hugh Bragg failed to charge a monitoring device that he was required to wear as part of a pre-trial bond.
He allowed the battery to go dead on April 8, despite the bonding company calling and reminding Bragg to charge it.
On Tuesday, officers observed Bragg with a gun in his hand.
He also ran approximately 40 feet after being handcuffed.
Bragg is also charged with obstruction of law enforcement and giving a false name or date of birth.
Teen accused of destroying a computer
An 18-year-old was arrested on Tuesday at his Brookwood Avenue residence on a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
According to Floyd County jail records:
Jacob Ryan Bovee destroyed a computer, valued at $530, that belonged to his father.
