Clay Fuller is headed to Congress.
Fuller, a Republican endorsed by President Donald Trump, defeated Democrat Shawn Harris in Tuesday’s runoff for the United States House of Representatives in District 14.
He will serve at least until January, filling the unexpired term of Marjorie Taylor Greene.
The seat is once again on the ballot in the May Primary and November General Election.
Fuller and Harris have both qualified for the upcoming election to see who will win a full two-year term.
In Floyd County, Fuller received 9,730 votes to Harris’ 7,597.
Fuller won all of the Floyd County precincts except Garden Lakes, East Rome, Riverside, South Rome, and Town Rome, which Harris won.
