Floyd County Commission Chair Allison Watters was recently reappointed to serve as an at-large representative on the Board of Managers for the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG).
Watters will represent the association as an at-large representative covering the whole state.
The 2025-2026 ACCG Board of Managers was sworn in by Rodney Bullard, CEO of The Same House, during the Installation and Awards Luncheon at this year’s ACCG Annual Conference in Chatham County.
Watters has served on the county commission since 2017 and this will be the third time she has served as chair of the commission since 2023. As an ACCG at-large Representative, Watters will work alongside other board members to lead the association and guide policies during the next year.
“I consider it an honor to serve on the ACCG Board of Managers. The organization works to ensure that all 159 counties in Georgia can provide the necessary leadership, services, and programs to meet the health, safety, and welfare needs of their citizens,” Watters said. “Floyd County government has benefited greatly from the many services provided by ACCG. I look forward to working alongside other county leaders to further the ACCG mission.”
ACCG is Georgia’s county association and works with county officials and their communities by providing public policy and legislative advocacy, leadership development, civic and community engagement initiatives, insurance and retirement programs focused on local government needs and other cost-saving programs.
“We are excited to welcome our newly installed Board of Managers, a group of dedicated leaders chosen by their peers to guide our organization,” Executive Director Dave Wills said. “Their commitment and expertise will be invaluable as we work together to advance the interests of Georgia’s counties.”
