Erin Brockovich
Consumer advocate Erin Brockovich is in Rome for a town hall meeting to discuss the dangers of “forever chemicals” found in nearby waters, and to meet with residents impacted by the contamination.
The town hall will begin at 6 p.m. at the Forum River Center.
PFAS Georgia attorney Ben Finley and water expert Bob Bowcock will join Brockovich for the town hall.
Residents can learn how to get their property tested and how to seek legal action, along with an update on proposed legislation that will shield PFAS polluters from liability.
The PFAS Georgia team will also share what residents and business owners can do to protect their land and water.
The PFAS Georgia team has made a strategic decision to aggressively test water, dust, and soil in Floyd, Bartow, Polk, Paulding, Chattooga, and Haralson Counties.
