Two Calhoun men are facing misdemeanor charges in connection with a shooting incident on Baker Road off Dews Pond Road on Wednesday.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office:
21-year old Anthony P. Hall and 23-year old Donovan Downey have each been charged with reckless conduct.
Investigating officers do not believe the shooting was a malicious act.
The man who was shot has since been released from the hospital.

At about 3:30 pm on Wednesday, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a private residence on Baker Circle off Dews Pond Road in response to a report of a man having been shot.
Upon arrival, deputies rendered first aid to the victim, who was subsequently evacuated by air ambulance.
Other deputies quickly identified where the gunfire had originated and detained one adult male.
Detectives are on scene now gathering physical evidence and questioning witnesses.
The firearm believed to have been used has been located by deputies, and no one else is being sought in connection with this incident.
The investigation is continuing.
