Warrant: 73-year-old woman sold ecstasy to cooperating witness
A 73-year-old South Rome woman is accused of selling drugs.
According to the arrest warrant:
Veronica Ann Bohannon sold ecstasy to a cooperating witness at her Branham Avenue residence back on January 28.
She is charged with the sale of a controlled substance.
Woman accused of fighting police, EMT
A West Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with felony obstruction of officers.
According to the warrant:
31-year-old Tatiana Kashauna Gleaves repeatedly kicked an officer as he was trying to apply leg shackles, striking him in the face, nose and head.
The incident occurred on October 16 on North Fifth Avenue.
She also fled and resisted being placed in a patrol vehicle, according to jail records, resulting in additional charges of misdemeanor obstruction.
Gleaves is also charged with a felony count of interference with an emergency medical technician.
According to that warrant:
Gleaves scratched an EMT in the face and on the hand, and then kicked him and tried to bite him.
That incident occurred on October 10 at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center.
Woman charged with possession of fentanyl
A North Rome woman was arrested on Wednesday after she was reportedly found with suspected fentanyl.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
21-year-old Katelin Delynn Simpson also had multiple drug-related objects, covered in black residue.
The fentanyl was not in the original container that was dispensed by a pharmacist.
Simpson is charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of drugs not in the original container.
Lyerly woman accused of stealing more than $1K in jewelry from Rome business
A Lyerly woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Wednesday on a felony theft by shoplifting charge.
According to an arrest warrant:
44-year-old Elizabeth Marie Gunnells took jewelry valued at over $1,000 from Whistle Britches at 206 Broad Street back on December 18.
