One of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office’s Ten Most Wanted is now in custody after several years on the run.
30-year-old Marquis Orshae Brooks of Atlanta was arrested on Thursday in East Point.
He is charged with a violation of the RICO Act, smash and grab burglary, and 2nd-degree burglary.
According to the arrest warrants:
Brooks participated in a burglary at Garden Lakes Food Mart on Huffaker Road on May 3, 2016, where the glass door was smashed, and $7,480 in cash and $600 in cigarettes were taken.
He was also associated with a criminal street gang out of Oakland City, Atlanta, when he participated in a similar crime at a business at 3402 Alabama Highway between December 2015 and April 2017.
