The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) announced Tuesday that PCSD and the FBI’s task force investigating the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, have been made aware of a possible new ransom note in relation to Guthrie’s disappearance.
“The PCSD/FBI Guthrie Task Force was recently made aware of a new possible ransom note related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation,” PCSD wrote in a Tuesday post on X.
“Investigators are also aware of social media comments regarding the note and are looking further into the information to determine its credibility,” the post concluded.

A law enforcement source close to the case tells Fox News there are no new notes being treated as credible.
Nancy Guthrie was taken from her Tucson, Arizona, home in the early hours of Feb. 1 and hasn’t been seen since, according to the FBI and PCSD.
Guthrie was last seen shortly before 10 p.m. local time on Jan. 31 after a relative dropped her off at her home in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson.
Authorities have struggled to identify a suspect or person of interest in her disappearance, despite a masked man appearing on Guthrie’s Ring doorbell camera.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, in the days following Guthrie’s disappearance, confirmed that she was taken, telling reporters during a news briefing, “She did not leave on her own. We know that.”

Authorities had previously released two ransom notes related to Guthrie’s kidnapping in July.
The first, which was sent on Feb. 2, reported that Guthrie was unharmed and demanded that her captors be sent $4 million in cryptocurrency to secure her release.
The second, sent four days later on Feb. 6, said Guthrie had died shortly after she was kidnapped.
Authorities released the ransom notes in late July, noting they were written with a unique writing style, asking anyone who recognizes the patterns to share any information with PCSD and the FBI.
