The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a second small earthquake in Northwest Georgia.
A 2.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded at around 6:34 a.m. on Monday about 6-tenths of a mile northwest of Trion in Chattooga County.
On Saturday, a 2.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Gordon County.
The center was just over six miles west-northwest of Resaca.
Earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.5 or less are usually not felt, but can be recorded by a seismograph.
Low-magnitude quakes are more common than you think.
There are about a million of them each year.
