Next weekend, kids will be able to meet their heroes during a special event at the Forum River Center.
“Meet the Magic” is on August 29.
“We do not have a lot of events that come to Rome that are especially just for families,” said Kristi Kent with the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism. “This is an opportunity for all of your little friends to meet their favorite characters. Think of your favorite princess, your favorite superheroes, and your favorite animated storybook characters. These are going to be the characters that are live at this event. They’re doing special meet-and-greets, so each has their own individual area where you can meet them. The same characters will put on live performances throughout the day on the main stage.”

Children ages 2 and under are free. Costumes are encouraged for children ages 10 and under, and guests with special needs of any age are welcome to dress up.
“There’s going to be free face painting, free temporary tattoo bar, and a rock climbing wall,” Kent added. “It runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so it’s going to be a full day of activity, changing all day long. If you need to take a break, you can get armband and go out to the downtown restaurants, just steps away from The Forum, take a break and get some lunch.”
