The Floyd County Commission will hold a called meeting on Tuesday to set the millage rate.
The commission intends to propose a 2026 county government millage rate of 9.45 mills, the calculated rollback rate for the year.
The proposed fire services millage rate is 1.875 mills, an increase from the 2025 rate of 1.65 mills.
The proposed solid waste millage rate is 0.657 mills, which is the calculated rollback rate for that service.
Also during the called meeting, the commission will consider adopting a resolution providing for the 2026 Street Light Assessment, consider a request to approve FY26 budget revision, and consider a request to adopt medical and voluntary health insurance premiums.
Tuesday’s called county commission meeting starts at 8 a.m. in the Community Room, Suite 206 of the County Administration building located at 12 East 4th Avenue.
