Five people participating in a poker run were ejected from a speed boat Sunday morning.
They were all taken to the hospital with very serious injuries following a crash at Lake Allatoona.
According to Georgia Department of Natural Resources law enforcement:
The incident occurred at 11:06 a.m.
The large speed boat hit the shore at a high rate of speed. All five occupants were transported by EMS to Kennestone Hospital in Cobb County.
The incident is under investigation by the DNR Law Enforcement Critical Incident Reconstruction Team.
Additional information will be available when the investigation is completed in several weeks.
