Man accused of shooting man, dog with a pellet gun
A West Rome man is accused of shooting a man and a dog with a pellet gun on Shorter Avenue.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
58-year-old Daniel Bernard Washington caused substantial physical harm to a man and his dog by firing a pellet gun at them.
Washington was also found to be in possession of what was suspected to be marijuana.
He is charged with cruelty to animals, battery, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Woman accused of elder abuse
A Lindale woman has been arrested on charges of exploitation or intimidation of the elderly, simple battery and simple assault.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
46-year-old Michelle Leigh Morris charged at and pushed a 78-year-old woman on Thursday of last week.
Man Charged with Aggravated Stalking
A West Rome man is charged with aggravated stalking and possession of marijuana.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
24-year-old Autavious Trevon Macon was found hidden in a gas station next to the workplace of someone with a protection order against him.
The offense occurred on July 23.
Woman Charged with Theft by Taking a Motor Vehicle
A Rome woman was recently arrested on charges of theft by taking a motor vehicle.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
30-year-old Shae Nichole Jackson was arrested after being caught in possession of a grey 2017 Chevy Malibu after taking it without authority or permission.
The car was valued at around $17,000.
Man Charged with Possession of Marijuana, Stalking, and Crossing a Guard Line
An East Rome man was arrested on charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, stalking, a probation violation, and for crossing a guard line at the jail with drugs.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
25-year-old Nicholas Julian Arrant followed the victim to her job and called the police in an attempt to harass and intimidate.
After being brought into the jail for stalking, Arrant was found with less than an ounce of marijuana.
